Jolly Santa

Happy Friday!!! Today I'm playing along with Happy Little Stampers Christmas Challenge :)

Here's my card featuring Happy Santa from Pretty Pink Posh (Gosh! Lots of "HAPPY" around here today, right?!?!!! *wink)

Not too long ago I was at a crafty retreat and my sweet friend, Dana, let me borrow this set. (Thanks so much, Dana!!!) He's got to be one of the cutest Santas I've ever seen! I love him!

My layout was inspired by a technique I saw Lynn Dunn use. I believe she calls it the "Scrappy Strip Technique." Such a super fun way to use patterned paper! You can check out her post HERE.

Thanks for visiting!

Hope you have a wonderful weekend!!!

Happy Fall Neighbor Gifts

Hello there! Today I'm playing along with The Four Seasons Challenge: November Anything Goes Fall :)

I recently put together some festive little gift bags to deliver to our neighbor friends.

Here are the tags I made using the Pumpkin Treat Wrap Dies from Taylored Expressions:

I stamped a simple sentiment from Tiny Tagalongs (Concord and 9th), die-cut it using Tasteful Labels (Stampin' Up), and adhered it to the back:

I made 15 tags...5 of each color:

I found some cute white and kraft striped bags in my stash (I've had them for so long I can't even remember where I bought them) and filled them with chocolates and other candies. I closed the bags up with a strip of ribbon, the pumpkin tags and some clothespins. I think they turned out super cute!!!

And here they are...all ready to be delivered to our neighbors' mailboxes!!! Fun!!!

I love making little packages like this and sharing them with neighbor friends! It brings so much joy!!!

Thank you for visiting :)

Have a wonderful day!!!

Candy Canes

It's snowing here in the mountains, and it's so beautiful and festive!!! Perfect atmosphere for creating some holiday cards!!!

Here are a couple of cards I made using the current sketch over at Global Design Project:

These cards feature some super cute elements from the Candy Cane Lane Cardmaking Kit by Taylored Expressions as well as some fabulous designer series paper from Painted Christmas by Stampin' Up and some gorgeous die-cut pine sprigs from Botanicuts: Pine Bough by The Greetery.

I owe the color choices for the candy canes (Cranberry and Evergreen from Concord and 9th) to my husband who suggested I make them look like the cherry candy canes made by Hammond's Candy Factory here in Colorado :) Yummy!!! Which reminds me...I definitely need to order some of these delicious candies for the holidays soon!!!

And here's my second card---same design, just changed up the sentiment---

I had so much fun making these cards!!!

Boo

Halloween is just one week away, so perfect timing for playing along with the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: Spooky :)

Here's my card featuring some fa-boo-lous goodies from Taylored Expressions!

I absolutely LOVE all of these swirling ghosts and the expressions on their faces!!! Cuteness overload!!! And this background stamp is super fun to ink up in a single color OR in multiple colors (like I did here)---I saw Taylor do this in one of her videos and thought it looked amazing, so I decided to give it a try---so happy with the results!!!

Do you celebrate Halloween where you live? We don't have any trick-or-treaters up here in the mountains, but I enjoy sending Halloween cards to family and delivering goodie bags filled with homemade dog treats to the mailboxes of Pepper's friends :) We also made a trip to a local pumpkin patch and decorated some pumpkins! So festive and lots of fun!!! I'll share some photos of those things soon!

Thanks for visiting! Have a great day!!!

Ahoy Matey...

Today I'm playing along with Double "D" Challenges: Octoberfest Challenge. I decided to go the Halloween route for this one :)

Here's my card:

I LOVE this color combo for Halloween!!! It was inspired by a card that Amy Tsuruta posted using Catherine Pooler colors: Sangria, Pink Champagne, and Orange Peel (click HERE to see her fabulous card). I have quite a few Catherine Pooler inks but I'm still working to build my collection, and I don't have those particular colors yet. So, instead I went for some similar Stampin' Up cardstock colors that I have in my stash: Rich Razzleberry, Blushing Bride, and Pumpkin Pie (I also tossed in Soft Stone from Papertrey Ink for my 4th strip).

The inside sentiment says: "Arrrr ye ready for treats?!"

I'm going to send this to my 10 year old niece for Halloween! I hope she loves it!

Thanks for visiting!!!

Have a great day!

Ghost Trio

Happy Tuesday! Today I'm playing along with Make the Cards Challenge: Halloween :) For this card I've paired up an ink blended background, the Winter Forest Cover Die (Mama Elephant) and some absolutely adorable ghosts from Ghost Gang (Taylored Expressions).

I'm not positive, but I think the "Boo" sentiment die is also from Taylored Expressions (a freebie from ages and ages ago). I'm tempted to make another card using it and adding some googly eyes to the o's. Doesn't it look like those o's should be eyes??? Ha!

Thanks for visiting!

Truly Grateful...

Today I'm playing along with The Four Seasons Challenge. Just look at this gorgeous inspiration board!!!

Since the aspen trees are exploding with color here in the mountains I couldn't resist creating another autumn leaves card :)

I love the Welcoming Woods stamp set from Stampin' Up! Those aspen tree trunks are so realistic looking and I love how the set includes leaves and snowflakes so it works for anytime of year :)

Many people think that aspen leaves only turn yellow in autumn, but we actually see quite a bit of orange and even some red. Here are a couple of photos from yesterday's walk around the mountainhood.

Hope you're having a fabulous weekend!!!

Thanks for stopping by!

Mountains

Happy Friday! Today I'm sharing a couple of cards I created using the awesome Circle Mountain River Die and the Go.See.Do stamp set from Erin Lee Creative. Anyone who knows me knows I LOVE anything and everything about the mountains, so of course when I saw Erin's Land and Sea release I had to place an order :)

I'm also linking these up at the current Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: Anything Goes

Here are my cards:

I had fun experimenting with this muted, earthy color palette (although I had a really tough time photographing it...a photographer I am not...ha!) They look so much better in person. Oh well.

On a personal note...and to further prove my adoration of the mountains...here are some photos from yesterday's hike. We summited Woods Mountain. It was breathtakingly beautiful!

Thanks for visiting!

Have a lovely weekend!!!

Every Leaf...

First time playing along with Double D Challenges. Just look at that gorgeous inspiration! The theme is "Things that FALL."

(THANKS to Michele for posting a card to this challenge and thereby "introducing" me to it.)

Here's my card:

I used the Autumn Bliss Stamp and Cut Combo from the Greetery to create my falling leaves panel. I'm pretty much smitten with all autumn leaf images but I especially LOVE how these leaves were illustrated to look like they're fluttering. So beautiful! I inked them up in one color and then tapped the edges with a second color (using a mini blending brush) and stamped them again.

Thanks to Laurie for letting me borrow this set at a recent crafty get-together! I had so much fun creating these colorful leaves and making this card :)

Have a wonderful evening!

Autumn Happy Birthday

Hello there! Today I'm playing along with the sketch over at Global Design Project :)

My card features a new-to-me stamp set from Stampin' Up called Welcoming Woods. I absolutely LOVE those aspen trees!!! This time around I added yellow leaves (inspired by our beautiful aspen leaves here in CO which are turning now), but the set also includes snowflakes for creating a winter scene :)

I'll be snail mailing this to a very special friend in October. I know she adores autumn leaves, and I hope she loves this card!

Wishing You A Spooktacular Halloween

Quick post to share the final card I made using the 4th panel of the Create-In-Quads-Halloween stencil set from Taylored Expressions :) This panel was my favorite of the bunch! Isn't it so super duper cute?!?!!! I absolutely LOVE it!!!!!

I heat embossed the sentiment onto vellum with Halo embossing powder (didn't want to cover up too much of the background panel) and the frame is die-cut from black glitter cardstock. Sooooo super sparkly in person!!!

Eeeeek!

As promised, I'm back to share another card I made from two more of the panels I created with the totally fabulous Create-In-Quads-Halloween goodies I talked about it my previous post. I also used this lovely sketch from the As You See It Challenge:

Here's my card:

The Create-In-Quads series by Taylored Expressions is a set of layering stencils that creates 4 card panels in one go. Such a brilliant concept! The black cat on the card in my previous post was panel 1, and here on today's card I've used panel 2 (the background) and panel 3 (the cauldron with witch's feet---which I die-cut with the coordinating die).

I had so much fun putting this together!!! I'll be back later today with the card I made using the 4th and final panel from the Create-In-Quads-Halloween stencil set :)

Thanks for visiting!

Hope your week is off to a great start!!!
