You're On My Mind

Popping in for a second time today with a card using this super fun sketch over at The Paper Players Challenge:

My card features the gorgeous Flowering Fields Designer Series Paper from Stampin' Up and a sentiment from Fresh Air by The Greetery (LOVE that font!). I added some faux stitching to the edges of the card base with a Stitched Rectangle die from Lil' Inker. I also added a few Brushed Brass Butterflies (Stampin' Up) as fun little details---they have a lovely shimmer and shine in person :)

Hoppy Easter

 

Today I'm playing along with the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge. This time around Simon Says: Anything Goes!

I don't always make/send Easter cards, but I decided to create a few this year to send to family. This one is for our 9 year old niece.

I used the Bunny Card Dies from Paper Smooches (which had been sitting in my stash and had never been used before....GASP!) and adorned her with a polka dotty bow die-cut with the Perfect Bow Die from Simon Says Stamp. I think she turned out so super cute!!!
 

 

The "Hoppy Easter" sentiment is from a coordinating stamp set (also from Paper Smooches) called Critter Card Puns. LOVE the font!!! On the inside of the card I stamped another sentiment from this set which says, "You are somebunny special."

I had such a great time making this card and hope our little niece likes it!

Today I'm playing along with Festive Friday Challenge 105 - World Party Day! I chose celebratory sentiment, sparkle (gold embossing), layers and bright colors from the inspiration list :)

Here's my card:

Our nephew who's a US Marine Corps pilot in San Diego has a birthday coming up at the end of this month, so this card will be heading his way :) The aviator sunglasses with the reflected beach scene are a perfect fit and I added the embossed bricks with splatters in the background to give it an urban touch as well (because let's face it...San Diego is an insanely busy and popular city on the west coast...if you know, you know *wink*).

Hello there! Today I'm playing along with Simon Says: Bit O'Green Challenge. The only green we're seeing here in the mountainhood these days are our fabulous pine trees, so I think this qualifies (*wink*):

 

I fell head-over-heels in love with the Reflections Stamp Set from The Greetery the moment I saw it but just recently got my crafty little hands on it! It's so gorgeous and reminds me of so many of our hiking adventures---a high mountain lake is definitely one of our happy places!

Happy Sunday! Today I'm playing along with this sketch over at TGIF Challenges:

I have a long wish list of stamps and dies that I want to purchase from a new-to-me company called Simply Graphic :) My super sweet crafty friend, Lisa Elton, recently posted a beautiful card using some of their products and then she was so over-the-top kind and generous and sent me an assortment of die-cuts so I could see the amazing quality of these products in person and try them out on some projects of my own :) Oh my!!! I am absolutely IN LOVE and will be placing an order tomorrow!!! Woohoo!!! Thank you so much, Lisa!!!

Lucky Dog

 

Today I'm playing along with Color Hues Challenge #36: Green and Gold.

St. Patrick's Day is right around the corner :) Although I don't usually make or send cards for this particular holiday I do love celebrating it in other fun ways. This year I'm making treat bags filled with homemade dog treats and decorated with handstamped tags to deliver to the mailboxes of Pepper's mountainhood friends! I haven't made the treats yet, but here's a look at the tags I created:

I heat embossed the word "lucky" in gold and I love the little bit of shine it adds to the design :) I had such a great time making these (17 in total) and look forward to baking the treats, packaging them up and passing them out to our mountainhood pups!

I'll also be cooking up some corned beef and cabbage and baking some treats for my husband (Bailey's Irish Cream Chocolate Chip Cookies---a new to me recipe---hope they turn out yummy!). Do you have any special traditions or plans for St. Patrick's Day?

Happy Friday! Time Out Challenges is celebrating their 8th Birthday, and I love playing along with their challenges, so I absolutely HAD to make a card for this special occasion :)

I LOVE this windmill die set from Stampin' Up! It reminds me of our travels to Denmark, which just makes my heart happy---a beautiful place and incredible people :)

The Luxe Gold specialty cardstock I used made this a little tricky to photograph, but I did my best. The sentiment says "sending birthday wishes" and it's embossed in gold on Early Espresso cardstock.
