Footprints in the Sand

Happy weekend! Today I'm playing along with the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: Summertime Blues :)

Our oldest nephew is getting married next weekend :) Gosh how time flies! He was just 6 years old when he was a ring bearer in our wedding. He and his soon-to-be wife will be living on the west coast just outside of San Diego. They love the beach, so I thought an ocean/beach-themed card would be perfect for their big day!

This Ocean Minded stamp set from Gina K Designs is so unique and totally fabulous! I can't wait to make more cards with it!

Thanks for visiting!!!

A Girl And Her Horse

Happy Tuesday! Today I'm sneaking one in just in time for the current "Anything Goes" theme over at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge :)

My card features some new-to-me silhouette dies from Paper Rose---aren't they beautiful?!?!!! My niece will be celebrating her 10th birthday later this month. She's been taking horseback riding lessons and is currently obsessed with all things horse-related :) So, when I saw these dies from Paper Rose I knew they were a perfect fit for her birthday card!!!

The ink blending color combo in the background was inspired by THIS VIDEO Daniel created for Catherine Pooler's Swatch It Like It's Hot Hop. In the video Daniel shared his "Gone Camping" ink blending color combo (Flirty Fuchsia, Party Dress, and Catching Rays) ---- so stunning! I don't have Catching Rays in my ink collection (yet *wink), so I used Tiara which is just one shade lighter on the color wheel. YAY!

I added some iridescent rhinestones to the sky and oh how they sparkle in person!!!!! Plus, all girls love the bling ;)

Thanks for stopping by!

Have a fabulous day!

Birthday Flowers

Today I'm playing along with the Seize the Birthday Challenge. I skipped the optional topping this time around and just went with "Anything Goes" --- I love that they always give us that choice ;)

My card features the Full of Flowers Cling and Clear Combo from Taylored Expressions and the coordinating Full of Flowers Stencils. I LOVE how easy it is to add color to the flowers and leaves with the stencil set and the results are fabulous!!! Can't wait to make more of these in different color combos! The possibilities are endless!

I'll be delivering this to my sweet neighbor friend whose birthday is tomorrow. The wildflowers are amazing here in the mountains right now so this seems like a perfect fit :) I hope she likes it!

I also wanted to share some photos from my recent overnight backpacking adventure (in case you saw my previous post and were wondering how it went). Thank you for all of your well-wishes and encouragement! Feeling so grateful for the opportunity to experience such incredible natural beauty!

Thanks for visiting!

Hope your week is off to a brilliant start!!!
