I love the bright and happy colors in these patterned papers! I'll be mailing this off to my grandma. She recently took a pretty bad fall. Luckily she didn't break any bones, but she's got lots of bumps and bruises. Hoping this will help to cheer her up :)

Thanks for stopping by today!

Baby Congrats

Happy Friday! Today I'm playing along with Freshly Made Sketches :)

Here's the sketch:

And here's my card:

I was inspired by Dena Rekow of The Creativity Cave and by Kylie and Bruno Bertucci to try out the "Scrappy Strip Technique." You can find their videos demonstrating this technique HERE and HERE, respectively.

I cut loads of angled strips of patterned paper from the Sunshine and Rainbows 6x6 Designer Series Paper Collection (Stampin' Up) and then went to town mixing and matching the different patterned strips. I'll be posting more of this style of cards soon :) They're super fun to create!

I hope you like my card for today and will give this technique a try!

Thanks for visiting!

Enjoy your weekend!!!

Peek-A-Boo Slider Card

Happy Tuesday! Today I'm playing along with the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge. This time around Simon Says: Interactive. Fun!

I recently watched Rachel Tessman of Stamp Your Art Out make some peek-a-boo slider cards as alternative projects using the supplies in the March 2022 Paper Pumpkin Kit. I was so inspired I just HAD to try it out! You can find her video and more details on how to create peek-a-boo slider cards in her blog post HERE.

And without further delay, here's my very first peek-a-boo slider card. (This is what it looks like when it's closed.)

Then...as you start to open it up...

...and when it's fully open...

Oh my goodness! I had such a great time making this!!! It's like magic :) And it was super duper simple to do! I will definitely be making more peek-a-boo sliders soon :)

Here's one more look:

Also wanted to share a couple of other non-interactive cards I made using the supplies from the March 2022 Paper Pumpkin Kit. I really enjoy using the supplies in the kit, adding some of my own supplies, and putting my own spin on the layouts. Loads of fun!

Thanks for visiting!

It's going to be a beautiful day here in CO, so Pepper and I are heading out for a hike!

You're A Good Egg

Hello there! Today I'm playing along with "Word Week" at Just Us Girls. I created some little Easter treats to give to our neighbor friends.

These treat holders were inspired by Angie over at chic'n scratch. You can find her tutorial for making them HERE :)

I don't always make Easter cards or gifties, so I don't have very many Easter-themed products at all. But this sentiment from Good Egg (by Brandi for Essentials By Ellen) worked perfectly with these chicks decorating their Easter eggs (not to mention the fact that I put an assortment of Dove chocolate eggs in the holders *YAY*).

While I was at it...I made another version as well:

And here's a side view to show how the chocolates fit in there:

I made 3 of each design and can't wait to deliver them! I hope they make our neighbor friends smile :)

Thanks for visiting!

Have a wonderful week!!!
