Chef

Hello there! Today I'm playing along with this fabulous sketch over at The Paper Players Challenge:

Here's my take:

A friend of mine (whom I've known since kindergarten) requested a couple of custom cards recently :) One of those cards is for her son who will be graduating from high school in June. After graduation he's going on to study to be a pastry chef. I instantly thought of this Recipe For Happiness stamp set from MFT. Fun!!!

The school colors at the university he'll be attending are red, gray, and white, so I incorporated those into the design.

I hope she likes this card option...but I have another just in case ;) I'll share the second option later this week.

Thanks so much for visiting!

Have a great day!!!

The World Is Full Of Amazing Things

Playing along with a couple of challenges today: (1) The Male Room Challenge: Stencils And/Or Dies and (2) Never-Before-Used-Schtuff Challenge :)

This was my first time using the Moon Bay Stencil Trio from Waffle Flower. I love the beautiful, peaceful scene this set of stencils creates. However...I was SOOO indecisive about my color choices. Anyone else struggle with that when it comes to stencil sets??? I have such a tough time visualizing how it's going to come together in the end. Well...after several attempts I was pleased with how this one turned out and decided it would be a good card to send to our nephew who was recently deployed to eastern Africa. What do you think?

I hope he'll be excited to get some happy mail from back home.

Thanks for visiting!

Have a great day!!!

Enjoy Your Special Day

It's snowing here in the mountains today, so I'm having lots of fun spending time in my craft studio and making cards for upcoming birthdays :)

The theme at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge is "Anything Goes." I'm linking this one up over there:

My neighbor friend has a birthday coming up later in April. We really enjoy going on hiking adventures together, so I thought this Mountain Scene Cover Plate from Erin Lee Creative was the perfect fit for making her a card for her special day!

She also loves bright, happy colors, and that's what inspired my color combo.

I paired my scene up with a foiled sentiment from an ephemera pack by Pinkfresh Studio. These are so handy to have around and I love the touch of shimmer they add to my creations!

And that's it. Pretty simple. No stamping on this one (*gasp)! That's a rarity for me ;)

Thanks for visiting!

Have a great day!!!
