Thinking Of You

Hello there! Today I'm playing along with Uniko Challenge 63 - Anything Goes.

My card features two fabulous stamp sets from Uniko Studio: (1) Just Because and (2) Simply Said Blocks II:

I used the Masking Stencils - Squares (from Taylored Expressions) and Distress Oxide Inks to create the background for that gorgeous silhouette image from Just Because by Uniko Studio. I stamped the sentiment in black, trimmed it out and adhered it to the panel. Then I attached my completed panel to a light gray card base. I love how versatile these Uniko Studio stamp sets are and how they make it so easy to put together a quick but beautiful card!!!

Thanks for visiting!

Have a great day!

Kindness Matters

Popping in quickly today to share a card I created for the current CAS(E) This Sketch Challenge.

Here's the sketch:

...and here's my take:

I've had this stamped/die-cut butterfly sitting in my box of bits and pieces for AGES! The loopy arrow in the sketch inspired me to add some stitched swirly trails to the upper left and bottom right of the butterfly :) They're subtle but add a little interest to the overall design.

Thanks for visiting!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

You're A Whole Lot Of Awesome

Hello there! Today I'm playing along with the NBUS Challenge :) I have to confess I have A LOT of "never-before-used-schtuff" and one of my goals is to make a deliberate effort to put it all to good use! This challenge is the perfect motivator!

My card features a new-to-me stamp set from Pink Fresh Studio called Whole Lot Of Awesome (...Don't you just LOVE that sentiment?!?!!!)

This is a great stamp set for putting all of those gorgeous colored inks to use too!!! Here I used Midnight, Aqua Sky, Sprout, and Honeysuckle (from Concord and 9th)!

Thanks for stopping by!

Hope you're having a fabulous weekend!

Hope This Year Is Your Best One Yet

Happy Friday! Today I'm playing along with two challenges: (1) Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - "Layer It Up" and (2) Time Out Challenge - "You."

My card features one of my all-time favorite layering stamp/die sets called Mountains (from The Ton). It's so easy to line up, and the layered images are so realistic and absolutely fantastic! We live in the foothills of Colorado, so I'm a total sucker for anything mountain-themed! And anyone who knows me KNOWS that I'm crazy for mountain adventures---hiking, snowshoeing, skiing, etc. There's no place I'd rather be than in the mountains with my husband and our yellow lab, Pepper :)

Here's my card:

... and while I was at it...I made another...

I had so much fun making these cards!!! I hope you like them! And here are a couple of photos from some recent mountain adventures :)

Because I Care

Happy Thursday! Today I'm playing along with The Paper Players Challenge. I recently received the Just Because stamp set as a prize from Bev at Uniko, and I was so excited to ink it up!!! It's absolutely GORGEOUS!!!

I stamped the silhouette image several times in Aqua Sky, Oceanside, and Peacock (Concord and 9th). Then I stamped the sentiment in Smokey Gray Versafine (Tsukineko), mounted the panel to a Smokey Shadow panel, and adhered it to a white card base.

I can't wait to try out some other color combos and techniques with this stamp set!

Hope your 2021 is off to a great start!!!
