Hello there! Popping in today to share a card I made using the inspiration and sketch for the current Inspired By Challenge:

My card features the totally adorable Gus and Gertie (from Taylored Expressions):

Oh my goodness!!! These two little characters couldn't be cuter!!! They make my heart so happy :) Here's a closer look:
 

I created the backdrop panel by layering a Rectangle Masking Stencil (Taylored Expressions) and the fabulous In Circles Stencil (Create A Smile). Then I inked it up with Speckled Egg Distress Oxide Ink (Ranger)---LOVE this color!!!

I was lucky enough to get my hands on the Field Notes Kit from Taylored Expressions :) It's an absolutely beautiful kit with gorgeous wildflower illustrations by my incredibly talented friend, Lori Craig! Here's my first creation using those stamps, coordinating dies and stencils...and the current sketch over at Sunday Stamps Challenge:

 

This one is headed to San Diego for a super sweet friend's upcoming birthday.

I hope she loves it!

I totally adore this little Winter Otter from Lawn Fawn! Sooo cute! It was sitting in my "never been used" pile (gasp!) just waiting to be inked up. I decided this one was a sea otter living among the icebergs in Alaska :) Never too early to get crackin' on the holiday cards, right?!?!

Hope you're all staying safe and healthy. We have four large wildfires burning to the west and north of us here in Colorado. We desperately need some rain/snow. So much haze and smoke in the air---even had some ash on our deck this morning. Scary times. So very grateful for all of the firefighters who are out there battling these blazes. Hoping and praying for rain/snow and for all of it to be under control soon.

Happy Saturday! Today I'm sharing another wedding card I created featuring Happily Ever After from The Rabbit Hole Designs. I simply adore the whimsical and sweet images in this set!

 

I'll be mailing this off to our nephew, Zack, and his beautiful bride-to-be, Annie, for their wedding in September :) Their colors are navy blue, gray and white (thus the navy blue frame on the card). I also added a bunch of sparkle to the bride's veil and dress :)

 I had so much fun making this card that I made a second version with a black frame:

 

 

I think I like the black frame even better, but I really do enjoy adding a touch of personalization to my handmade creations, so I think I'll still go with the navy blue frame for this particular occasion ;)

Yay, It's Your Birthday!

 

Today I'm playing along with the Seize The Birthday Challenge. This time around the optional toppings are tic-tac-toe. So super fun!

I chose to go diagonal with birds, flowers, stencil. Here's my creation:

I just recently purchased the Mosaic Leaves stencil from Taylored Expressions and used it in combination with one of the Rectangle Masking Stencils (also from Taylored Expressions) to create the background. I really love how it turned out! The tropical bird, flowers and balloons are from Toucan Party by Avery Elle. So super cute!!! I stamped and die-cut these at a crafting retreat (remember when we could DO that?!?!!!), and they had been sitting in a zipper pouch just begging to be put to use :) I also had the toucan in that pouch, so I made a second version using that image:

Happy Wednesday! Today I'm sharing a card I created using this fabulous sketch over at CAS(E) This Sketch Challenge:

My card features a super sweet stamp set from The Rabbit Hole Designs called "Happily Ever After." I totally adore the images in this set!!!

We have several weddings coming up in late August and September, but unfortunately we won't be attending any of them (in person) because of the pandemic. We're just not comfortable with the idea of attending any kind of gatherings with all of the uncertainty still surrounding this virus. This card will be going to one of those happy couples via snail mail :) I had so much fun making it and I hope they love it!
