Footprints in the Sand

Happy weekend! Today I'm playing along with the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: Summertime Blues :)

Our oldest nephew is getting married next weekend :) Gosh how time flies! He was just 6 years old when he was a ring bearer in our wedding. He and his soon-to-be wife will be living on the west coast just outside of San Diego. They love the beach, so I thought an ocean/beach-themed card would be perfect for their big day!

This Ocean Minded stamp set from Gina K Designs is so unique and totally fabulous! I can't wait to make more cards with it!

Thanks for visiting!!!

With Sympathy

Hello there! Today I'm playing along with the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: "Anything Goes."

I've been having some more fun making panels with Masking Magic (Gina K) and ink blending.

LOVING this color combo! I blended Hot Tub, Bay Breeze and Sea Glass from Catherine Pooler and then stamped those gorgeous butterflies (from Taylored Expressions) in Juniper Mist :) The sentiment is heat embossed in Queen's Gold (Ranger).

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Have a fantastic day!

Tony's 50th Birthday

We recently celebrated my husband's 50th birthday!!! So much fun!!! And of course such an extra special occasion deserves an extra special handmade card :)

The beautiful silhouette images in the Color Layering Pier At The Lake stamp set by Hero Arts are a perfect fit for my avid outdoorsman (and his trusty partner...our lab, Pepper...wink)! I recently saw a video by Gina K where she tore two strips of Masking Magic (Gina K) and ink blended in between. I loved the effect and was inspired to try out that same technique as the starting point for my card. After ink blending my background I left the Masking Magic in place and stamped my silhouette images. I also added some water ripples using a stamp from another Hero Arts set called Color Layering Mountains At The Lake. I removed the Masking Magic, added the sentiment (from Script Sentiments by Erin Lee Creative), mounted the finished panel to a slightly larger black panel, and adhered that to a blank white card base.

I had such a great time creating this card!!! And...my husband went crazy for it!!! Since it features Hero Arts products I'm going to link it up over at Stay Crafty With a Blog Named Hero February Challenge: Anything Goes. The challenge is open until March 10th so be sure to check it out!

Also thought I'd share a few photos from our snowy birthday celebration adventure:

Thanks for stopping! Hope you're having a fabulous weekend!!!

Every Shade Of Happy

Had some more fun "swinking" yesterday :) This one also uses the current sketch over at CAS Colours and Sketches Challenge.

I love this sentiment from Be The Rainbow (Gina K), and I thought it would be fun to pair it up with a rainbow that was created by swinking = swiping the ink pads directly onto the cardstock. I have to admit...I was pretty excited about the results :)

Thanks for visiting!

Hope you're having a happy Friday!!!

Look For The Rainbows

Today I'm sharing some tags I created that were inspired by this fabulous sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches:

I absolutely LOVE the Be The Rainbow stamp set (by Emily Loggans for Gina K Designs)!!! The rainbow images are super cute and the sentiments are so uplifting---just what we need during these crazy times :)

Here's the tag I designed featuring this set:

...and here's a look at one in each color:

I made two dozen tags in total (six of each color). I'm going to attach the tags to clear bags filled with Skittles candies and deliver them to my neighbor friends' mailboxes. Just a little something to hopefully brighten their day :)

Thanks for visiting!

I hope you're enjoying the weekend!!!
