Have A Beautiful Day

Happy Thursday! Today I'm super excited to be the Guest Designer for Time Out's newest challenge: "we challenge you to be different."

This prompt was exactly the push I needed to finally try out a different (and new-to-me) coloring technique that I've seen Yana Smakula and Therese Calvird demonstrate on their YouTube channels. (You can check out two of their posts/videos HERE and HERE.)

Alrighty...here you have it...my first attempt at blending-free coloring:

Now...I'm definitely no Yana or Therese, but I sure did have lots of fun creating this!!! I'm looking forward to practicing this technique some more and trying it out with different images and color combos too :)

A big THANK YOU to Time Out Challenges for having me as their Guest Designer!!! And loads of thanks to Yana and Therese for the creative inspiration :)

I hope you'll have a chance to play along with this challenge! Interested to see how you interpret the prompt and can't wait to see all of your wonderful creations!

Thanks for visiting!

  7. You did a great job with that technique. I need to try this...it seems like it would be easier than blending the colors, but I'm guessing it's not! Beautiful card! Thanks for guesting with us for this Time Out challenge!
