Baby Congrats

Happy Friday! Today I'm playing along with Freshly Made Sketches :)

Here's the sketch:


And here's my card:

 

I was inspired by Dena Rekow of The Creativity Cave and by Kylie and Bruno Bertucci to try out the "Scrappy Strip Technique." You can find their videos demonstrating this technique HERE and HERE, respectively.

I cut loads of angled strips of patterned paper from the Sunshine and Rainbows 6x6 Designer Series Paper Collection (Stampin' Up) and then went to town mixing and matching the different patterned strips. I'll be posting more of this style of cards soon :) They're super fun to create!

I hope you like my card for today and will give this technique a try!

Cardstock: Basic White and So Saffron (Stampin' Up)

Designer Series Paper: Sunshine and Rainbows 6x6 (Stampin' Up)

Dies: Hello Rainbow (Simon Says Stamp), "congrats" from Zipper Panel by Julie (Essentials By Ellen)

Adhesive: Mono Multi Liquid Glue (Tombow), Double-Sided Tape (X-Press It), Foam Adhesive (Scrapbook.com)

Other: Stick It Adhesive Sheets
