Birthday Poppies

Hello there! Today I'm sharing a card I created for two challenges: (1) Retro Rubber Challenge - "Anything Goes" and (2) The Flower Challenge - "Add Spots Or Stripes."

I'm not exactly sure when the Painted Poppies stamp set from Altenew was released but I know it's been in my stash for quite a few years and I still love it! Here I just used two of the images in the set for a bold, graphic look. Who doesn't love black and white + stripes + a pop of color?!?!!! The sentiment is also from an old set from Ellen Hutson called Succulent Sentiments. I LOVE that font!!!

Giving this to my neighbor friend. I hope she likes it!

Thanks for visiting! I hope you're having a great weekend!

  1. The color just pops with the black and white. I love the simplicity of it.

  2. Just beautiful, Lisa - poppies are gorgeous and meaningful, and the these bright pops just leap off the screen! Wonderful CAS design! Thanks so much for playing at Retro Rubber!

  3. Lisa, I have always loved that little dash of black and white diagonal stripes - you and one other of my bloggy friends use it so perfectly!
I love this set - now why don't I have it?? A lovely bright orange to complement the stripes!

  4. Beautiful card here Lisa! love the pretty Poppies and that fab stripey edge too. Thanks for sharing with us over at 'The Flower Challenge' ;) Viv DT xx

  5. I have this set too and as I brought it with me from the UK in 2013, I am assuming it's over 10 years old!! Great card, love the striped bottom and all the splatter. Thanks for joining us at Retro Rubber this time. Claire DT

  6. This is so pretty, I love the pop of colour against the black and white. Thanks for joining us this month at The Flower Challenge, hope to see you next month too. Cara DT x
