You're Waffle-y Cute

Hello there! Sharing a card I created for the current Time Out Challenge: New

My card features some adorable new goodies I purchased from Lawn Fawn...and a super fun pop-up element that I learned from Jennifer McGuire.

When I saw the A Waffle Lot stamp set from Lawn Fawn I literally squealed with delight and knew I absolutely HAD to have it! I love puns and this is just so stinking cute!!!

Then...I was watching a replay of a Crafty Cohorts livestream that Jennifer McGuire did with Greg from Concord & 9th on January 8th. In that video she shows this super fun way to create a pop-up element on your card. I decided to give it a try on today's card. This is how it looks when you open it:

Isn't that fun?!?!!! And it was so easy to make AND required no special dies or supplies! Woohoo!!! You can find Jennifer's blog post and the video HERE. Highly recommend trying it out! It'll make you giddy :)

I was so giddy over mine that I had to make another one. This one is for my mom to give to my niece for Valentine's Day. My mom makes my niece breakfast every morning before taking her to school. My niece sometimes requests waffles...and when she does she likes to have them topped with whipped cream AND a chocolate chip in each of the little waffle dimples. She's been eating her waffles this same exact way for as long as I can remember (and she's 11 now). So, here's Mya's waffles (Although I couldn't quite fit a chocolate chip in each dimple---ha! This will have to do.)

I hope she gets a kick out of this card!!! I had tons of fun creating it!

Thanks for visiting! I hope you like what I've shared.

Have a great day!

  1. Oh I love this - cute images and what a great style of card! Thanks for popping by my blog Lisa - those flower centres are called Prills and they're from Heartfelt Creations. I did a class with them years ago and was given a tiny bag which has lasted for ages!

  2. Well these are just adorable! I think Mya will enjoy her chocolate chips even more since they're heart shaped!

  3. These are beyond adorable, Lisa! I'd love to see your niece's face when she opens her card--bet she will be thrilled! Happy to see you joined us at Time Out Challenges.

  4. I love puns too and this is a good one! I watched that video with Jennifer and Greg and was impressed at how easy she made it look but haven't tried it yet. You have inspired me with these two adorable cards.

  5. How gorgeous! I love the sweet pop up featuring these cute little waffles! So good you don't need any special dies! Thanks so much for sharing with us at Time Out Challenges. Hope you have a lovely day! :)
