Eeeeek!

As promised, I'm back to share another card I made from two more of the panels I created with the totally fabulous Create-In-Quads-Halloween goodies I talked about it my previous post. I also used this lovely sketch from the As You See It Challenge:

Here's my card:

The Create-In-Quads series by Taylored Expressions is a set of layering stencils that creates 4 card panels in one go. Such a brilliant concept! The black cat on the card in my previous post was panel 1, and here on today's card I've used panel 2 (the background) and panel 3 (the cauldron with witch's feet---which I die-cut with the coordinating die).

I had so much fun putting this together!!! I'll be back later today with the card I made using the 4th and final panel from the Create-In-Quads-Halloween stencil set :)

Thanks for visiting!

Hope your week is off to a great start!!!

Halloween Cat

Hello there! Today I'm sharing a card I created using this sketch from the current Freshly Made Sketches Challenge:

I recently attended a crafty retreat with 13 super fun, sweet and talented friends! We had such a great time!!! While I was there I borrowed the Taylored Expressions Create-In-Quads-Halloween stencils from Lori (THANKS SO MUCH, Lori!!!) and all I can say is OH MY GOODNESS!!! This was my first time trying out any of the Create-In-Quads and let me tell you...they are absolutely AMAZING!!! So easy to line up and they make such awesome card panels!!! I will definitely be adding some of these to my shopping cart very soon!

Here's the card I made using the above sketch and one of the panels (the black cat) I created with the Create-In-Quads-Halloween stencil set:

I die-cut the cat from the stenciled panel using the coordinating die. I added some sparkle to her eyes, the moon/stars, and the green part of her hat. I love how it shimmers in person!

Tomorrow I'll share the other cards I made from the remaining 3 panels :)

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Thinking Of You

Happy Saturday! Today I'm sharing a card I created for the current Just Add Ink Challenge. This time around it's a "Just Choose Two" theme and I chose "foliage" and "masking"---such a fun combo!

My card features a couple of products from The Greetery including Lovely Silhouettes from the Wild Elegance Collection that was just released in August and an older stamp set called Sentiment Suite: Thinking Of You. The products from The Greetery are always so gorgeous, and I was super lucky to borrow these stamps from my sweet and talented friend, Laurie Willison, at a recent crafty retreat in order to make this card (Thanks so much, Laurie!!!).

I used some torn pieces of Gina K Masking Magic and blended Distress Oxide Inks to create the colorful strip on my focal panel. I've seen Gina K do this technique several times in her videos and I always LOVE the results!!! (You can find her YouTube channel HERE.) I stamped the silhouette foliage over top and then die-cut the panel with A2 Layers dies from Waffle Flower to be slighter smaller than my card base. I stamped the sentiment and then added some black splatters. I adhered the panel to a white card base and then finished it off with some gold glitter enamel dots. Simple and pretty!

Thanks for visiting!

I hope your weekend is off to a great start!!!

Our oldest nephew is getting married next weekend :) Gosh how time flies! He was just 6 years old when he was a ring bearer in our wedding. He and his soon-to-be wife will be living on the west coast just outside of San Diego. They love the beach, so I thought an ocean/beach-themed card would be perfect for their big day!

This Ocean Minded stamp set from Gina K Designs is so unique and totally fabulous! I can't wait to make more cards with it!
